Cheese Salesperson / Cheesemonger (Seasonal) - The Cheese People of Grand Rapids
We are passionate cheese lovers who bring artisan cheese to Michigan's best farmers' markets. Our crew connects with customers, shares knowledge, and creates fun, memorable experiences. Location: Farmers' Markets across Michigan + Grand Rapids Shop
Season: May through October
Schedule: Part-Time, 1–3 days per week (Saturdays required)
Compensation: Starting hourly pay of $9/hour + commission on sales.
Commission is paid weekly as part of your paycheck — your performance directly impacts your take-home pay.
Job Duties:
- Build customer relationships and drive sales.
- Set up, operate, and tear down your market stall independently.
- Learn and share cheese knowledge.
- Handle payments accurately.
- Drive to and from markets (valid driver's license and clean record required).
- Lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all conditions.
