Cheese for Holidays and Entertaining
Share
There is something about cheese that makes gatherings feel special. Whether it is Thanksgiving, Christmas, a summer barbecue, or a cozy winter dinner party, cheese belongs at the center of the table.
For holiday entertaining, choose cheeses that feel indulgent. A creamy brie topped with fruit, an aged gouda with caramel notes, or a bold blue cheese for contrast. Seasonal touches like cranberries, spiced nuts, or rosemary crackers elevate the experience.
Cheese also makes entertaining easier. It can be prepared ahead of time, requires minimal cooking, and allows guests to serve themselves. That means less stress for you and more time to enjoy the moment.
If you are hosting a larger gathering, plan on about one to two ounces of cheese per person if other food is being served. For cheese-focused events, increase that to three to four ounces per guest.
Cheese brings warmth to the table. It invites people to slow down, taste thoughtfully, and savor the season together.
